City Staff set to sell Waterfront property for“Just a Buck”



8/24/12 -- Page 127 of the published staff reports for the August 28, 2012 Vallejo City Council Meeting indicate that City Staff is recommending the waterfront property at the corner of Maine St and Mare Island Way (parcel L1) be sold to developer Callahan Property Company for the purchase price of $1.

Vallejo does have a lot of Dollar Stores...but WOW!!


The excerpt from the staff reports for Tuesday's City Council Meeting is as follows:

Purchase Price for Developer Parcel L1. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement, including, without limitation, the other provisions of Section 201 and any provision concerning the application of a credit toward payment of a Purchase Price, the Purchase Price to be paid by the Developer for Parcel L1 shall be ONE DOLLAR ($1.00). The determination of the Purchase Price for all other Developer Parcels shall be undertaken completely without regard to the Purchase Price payable for Parcel L1 in accordance with subsection e., and as if the purchase of Parcel L1 did not occur.”
