7/12/12 -- A strong odor that sickened a number of people inside the Amador St. Post Office resulted in a multi-agency hazmat response earlier today.

Starting around 11 AM the area was blocked off by public safety workers. A number of those who were affected felt better shortly after getting fresh air.

At this time it is still uncertain what caused the odor and unpleasant effects.
