Yes, its true...we've drawn a few cartoons and had some fun while making a point.  But this upcoming election is no laughing matter.  "Pivotal" would be a good adjective. "Crucial" might be another.

 On November 6, 2007 the citizens of Vallejo will choose a new mayor.  There are three City Council seats in contention as well.

Vallejo has only one newspaper.  Unfortunately, the Vallejo Times Herald has displayed considerable bias.  They are a for profit organization.  They do not want to do anything to adversely effect their revenue stream. There is little scrutiny and no competition. Real reporting sometimes ruffles feathers.

The staff of  vallejoisburning.com  has only one bias.  We are for the citizens of Vallejo because we are them. We are people from many different backgrounds and walks of life.  None of us are being paid for our efforts.  A common concern and ...well, outrage over the current sorry state of our City has drawn us together.

So, dear reader, we are determined to give the most unflinchingly fair treatment and unbiased coverage possible to this election. We will try our best to treat each candidate in a thorough yet fair manner. If our honesty makes some people mad-----TOUGH!!

I hope you will consider us a shelter in the storm of lies and crap that has already begun to fly.
