Serious Questions
Surrounding Vallejo City Council Candidate Anthony Summers
By Marc Garman
9/18/13
At this point, City Council Candidate Anthony Summers has made clear that he is not willing to interview with VIB. However, troubling questions regarding Summers and those he has chosen to affiliate himself with remain and must be brought to the attention of the Vallejo voters.
I am going to lay out some basic connections between Anthony Summers and homophobic evangelism and plans for genocide overseas. I have a lot more information which will be brought forward, but the information below will give you the general idea.
Of course, Summers has been recently trying to distance himself from his colleagues who carry the torch against my gay friends and neighbors. He is intent on being elected. However, there is irrefutable documented close and supportive involvement between Summers and Dominionist homophobic minister Ed Silvoso as recently as 2012.
Silvoso's order is more formally referred to as the "New Apostolic Reformation" If you think Summers has given up his embrace of this ideology in one year and suddenly become honestly welcoming to folks from the LGBT community, or really any of those not adherents to his specific brand and flavor of evangelism...well... I have a bridge to sell you.
Connecting the dots:
1) Last year Summers was one of the stars of a Christian movie produced with evangelist and New Apostolic Reformation leader Ed Silvoso. They talk about transforming Vallejo. It all sounds very positive. Here is the trailer:
2) However, if you start to look into Silvoso and his views...it becomes more clear what he is really about: EXORCISING GAY DEMONS
3) Silvoso and Summers are also in agreement with Cindy Jacobs, who organized the religious event "The Call" for Texas Governor Rick Perry. She believes, for example, that a blackbird die off in Arkansas was a result of the Don't Ask Don't Tell legislation in connection with gay US service members being repealed. I have footage of Summers embracing Cindy Jacobs in 2009 at a prayer event held on the Vallejo waterfront. Here's the bit about the blackbirds:
4) Silvoso is also connected to, and supports Julius Oyet in Uganda, a devotee of the New Apostolic Reformation who is working with members of their parliament to push for the passage of legislation to make homosexuality a death penalty offence. Oyet begins by mentioning the "Seven Mountains" which refers to the planned dominion (thus the term Dominionist) by the New Apostolic Reformation over the seven aspects of society: Religion, Media, Government, Family, Education, Business, Arts & Entertainment.
5) Here is a 20 minute documentary by Bruce Wilson on the activities of the New Apostolic reformation in Uganda.
Summers has been selling the Ed Silvoso "Transforming Vallejo" video on the campaign trail. Half the money goes to his campaign, the other half to Silvoso. I would call that financial support.
Is Summers going to go on a gay killing spree? No, certainly not. However his financial and in kind support of Silvoso, Jacobs and their hate speak gives those who WILL commit hate crimes the justification they need to feel vindicated in their acts. By creating a dialog in which the gay community is set aside as “the others” also contributes to discrimination and horrible consequences such as suicides among the young or impressionable who may come to believe they are perhaps possessed by demons. I tend to believe that most of my readers find Cindy Jacobs and her blackbirds laughable and kooky, but there may be others who derive a darker meaning.
Summers, an anti-choice evangelistic minister with a very disturbing collection of affiliations has been endorsed by the Dems and by Labor, but only because they were obviously told to by Jon Riley. Riley, a former Vallejo firefighter and now head of the Napa-Solano Labor Council represents his special interest group, (and the Jump Start Vallejo slate) as any lobbyist would. He wants his agenda carried forward and wields considerable influence to be used for that purpose. Summers obviously is willing to do Riley's bidding to propel his own Dominionist agenda.
Unfortunately, this has tainted the other candidates who may have redeeming qualities on the shared Jump Start Vallejo slate (Dew, Malgapo, Verder-Aliga & Summers ). For now I can only refer to Jump Start Vallejo as THE SLATE OF HATE.
Supporting those who engage in acts of hate materially, financially or through knowing inaction is tantamount to collusion even when cloaked by piety or other benevolent acts. Can we let this pass?
And on a pragmatic note, I wonder if known affiliations to homophobic movements or direct connections to hate groups is the sort of marketing tool Vallejo needs to promote a Business Friendly image? Probably not. Especially in the Bay Area.
I welcome a response from Pastor Summers.
Note: Videos such as those posted have a habit of disappearing from the internet when they are brought to the attention of the general public. Full copies of all media has been made and is held as backup in case that occurs.
Assemblywoman Susan Bonilla (D-Concord) needs to explain her long pattern of endorsing anti-gay political candidates in the Bay Area.
In 2010, Susan Bonilla endorsed Jeff Adams, a major donor to anti-gay causes, when he ran unsuccessfully for Mt. Diablo school board (Concord/Pleasant Hill/Clayton/Walnut Creek).
(1) Jeff Adams was a $5,000 donor to the Yes on 8 campaign in 2008. Proposition 8 ended marriage equality in California until federal courts ruled it unconstitutional.

Obamacare website firms execs had White House access
By RICHARD POLLOCK OCTOBER 15, 2013 AT 7:53 AM
Senior executives from CGI Federal, the company that won the Obamacare website contract, enjoyed high level access to top Obama administration officials, according to White House visitors logs.
CGI Federal is the U.S. subsidiary of CGI Group that won the $93 million contract which later swelled to $700 million from the Department of Health and Human Services in December 2011 to build Healthcare.gov, the main Obamacare web site.
Prior to the official award, senior CGI executives met with top White House officials and attended a number of invitation-only addresses by President Obama.
The American taxpayers have been robbed again by administration insiders running another one of their ponzi schemes.
The Far-Right Christian Movement Driving the Debt Default -- If the U.S. breaches its debt ceiling this week, bringing with it the global financial panic economists predict, leaders of a little-known far-right movement called Christian Reconstructionism can claim partial responsibility. Their goal: to eradicate the U.S. government so that a theocratic Christian nation emerges to enforce biblical laws. That's right -- laws out of the Book of Leviticus prohibiting adultery, homosexuality, and abortion, with penalties including death by stoning. The key leader of this movement is Gary North, founder of the Institute for Christian Economics in Tyler, Texas. He's a long-time associate of Ron Paul, intellectual godfather of the Tea Party movement -- the very people responsible for Congressional deadlock over the government shutdown and debt ceiling debate.

for these religious fanatics / psychopaths . Many of which are in a perpetual tax exempt mode . With over 400

It seems you made a point. This is something that we should take a look at. We have one who screwed up or educational system now we have another who preaches hate and that God only loves certain people. Along with this, Summers represents MTS. If you look at Summers sponsors, its quite evident that this is a game that they put together to control the city of Vallejo and where funds will be allocated. If we do our homework, we'll find that MTS is tied in with a lot of underhand movements all in the name of God. Judas sold Jesus out for 30 pieces of silver. MTS is going to sell out the whole city. I say this because Summers consistently implies that his employment is with M-T-S. Why would MTS promote ,or say they promote, Godliness when really Summers is tied to ED Silvoso, MTS, and others. Do the research! When ED was here in 2009, that wasn't the first trip that MTS & their crew presented Silovoso to the city of Vallejo.@ GABAGABA is making some points that we missed. when you put all this together, MTS gets the contracts. Summers group are all involved with MTS. Lets not sit back as citizens of a great town and allow hate, money, and obvious coalitions blind us. @ GABAGABA may be onto something that we should all have a look at.

I don't understand why gays get a bad wrap with these religious nuts. Gay people are a small percentage of the overall population and they don't go around hurting people or robbing from them on the streets. It's a sad thing for human beings to believe this way.

Summer's mission is "saving" parolees and felons. Solano County and the rest of the San Francisco Bay Region want them "gone" and will send lots of money to "help". Problem solved. Send all the poverty, criminals and social deviants to Vallejo because Vallejo wants them, the Domininionists can grow their flock and get rich doing it. The impressionable flock members scapegoat gays and those troublesome enlightenment intellectuals who get in their way with all the usual reprecussions. Why just focus on extracting money from the poor when the rich will send pots of blood money?
Since I personally have been anointed by the Gods as the Oracle of Delphi, I predict a great nation losing its Enlightenment rudder, falling into warring states of religious intolerance and following Rome into the dustbin of history.

At this convention, activists carried out a special zap during a high point of the conference. The activists burst into the conference hall and pushed their way past a number of elderly psychiatrists who tried to stop them. And there was no mistaking who the intruders were. The report says, "Half of the men were in really fabulous drag with wildly painted faces, that accentuated the spontaneous, liberating attitude of brothers in drag.
This is some of the background leading up to the APAs momentous decision to depathologize homosexuality in 1973, which means this was hardly a matter of dispassionate scientific debate as even the gay activist scientist Simon LeVay noted in his book Queer Science: Gay activism was clearly the force that propelled the APA to declassify homosexuality.

All the choices in Vallejo are bad. On the one hand we have the religious nuts, peddling their for profit ministries and on the other hand we have the gay activists who brand anyone that doesn't love them as bigots and homophobes.
Poor ole Vallejo, can't catch a break nowhere.
In the early 1970s, gay activists became famous for their "zaps," which were strategically timed, carefully staged hit and run protests meant to humiliate and intimidate their opponents. According to gay historian David Eisenbach, zaps were used successfully by gay activists to push TV executives to portray homosexuality sympathetically and positively: "TV executives discovered they could avoid zaps and bad publicity by having gay activists review scripts that dealt with homosexuality before they were aired."
In other words, "Write the scripts the way we like it, or incur our wrath."
Zaps were also used to disrupt meetings of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) in protest of the its classification of homosexuality as a mental disorder. The Rainbow History Project, which celebrates gay pressure tactics, posted a report entitled "Zapping the Shrinks" (originally published May 3, 1971), boasting about the "disruption by gay activists at the [APAs] 1970 convention in San Francisco.

Below: link to video, article about shocking nature of Ed Silvoso's International Transformation Network conference held in Hawaii prior to the 2010 elections, at which one apostle in Silvoso's movement declared,
"we put our foot on Hawaii. And you said every place we put our foot, we will rule. So we are the Kingdom, the Kingdom is here."
The following quote is from Apostle Pat Francis, speaking at Ed Silvoso's 2009 International Transformation Network conference held in Hawaii prior to the 2010 election.
In attendance at that Hawaii ITN conference was then-Republican 2010 nominee for Hawaii's governors seat James "Duke" Aiona and also Cam Cavasso, Republican 2010 nominee for U.S.Senate.
The quote, below, indicates the dominionist, Christian supremacist nature of Silvoso's movement.
Pat Francis and Ed Silvoso are fellow "apostles" in the International Coalition of Apostles, a dues-paying international organization that is one of the biggest apostolic organizations in the movement known as the New Apostolic Reformation.
"
We break generational curses, we break generational curses, we break generational curses, and we plead the blood of Jesus over every altar of demon, over every altar of ancestral spirit, over every altar of false religion, and in Jesus name we declare that you are the King of Hawaii, you are the Lord of Hawaii. We dispossess the gods of Hawaii, and we lift up the one and true God, Jesus Christ.
And we are charged, standing guard, and we put our foot on Hawaii. And you said every place we put our foot, we will rule. So we are the Kingdom, the Kingdom is here.
Therefore in Jesus name, the King of Kings, so rule in Hawaii, and the people of Hawaii are blessed. We break the power of poverty in the name of Jesus, we break the power of poverty in the name of Jesus, we break the power of poverty in the name of Jesus, we break the power of witchcraft power, every witchcraft power we drive you out, in the name of Jesus.
"
It is reasonable to assume, given the enthusiasm with which apostle Francis delivered that prayer, that Ed Silvoso and his appointed minions lieutenants in the Bay area intend to "put their foot" on Vallejo.

Freedom of religion does NOT mean theocracy which is what the Dominionists propose. Establishing theocracy constitutes the overthrow of America's secular government of the people, by the people and for the people to replace human laws with their idea of what God's laws are. Problem is that lots of people seem to claim they are God's personal messenger on Earth but God must love to joke becuase he/she is saying different things to different people. So there is no agreement about what God is saying. To advocate for a theocracy is treason according to our Constitution.

A lot has been said about Mr. Summers. He is supposedly a pastor and we in the Christian world cant keep participating with those who talk hate. On the forum, we kept hearing about his employment with MTS. So what does that say about MR. Brown who is so "Holy" that he states that Vallejo is a city of God. God loves us all. We need people who love people, because who ever sits on the seat at city hall represent us all. Not just those they have chose to take financial backing from. Its imperative that we place people on the council that represent the Gay Community, the Black Community, Hispanic Community, & Filipino Community. We are all one. And by the way Mr. Summers is Mr. Brown related to anybody that's running? During my research is it true that MR Brown has divorced himself from his family roots? To me it appears that you people have gotten together, to AGAIN, ruin our town. As far as economic growth, port system in regards to Mare Island, some of this is silly...why cant we just love each other and move forward, no matter what color, race, gender, or religion. In fact, what does it matter what I eat for breakfast?
Despite claims to the contrary, this article is definitely still up on FaceBook.
So far there are 13,040 views on FaceBook and climbing. This seems to be a topic of considerable interest to the voting public.

Wharf Rat, as you know, many people make a mistake when thinking and talking about the separation between church and state. The constitutional concept is that the "State" shall not establish an official state "religion" and not make laws and craft policies that would interfere with an individuals right to practice the religion of their choice.
Thomas Jefferson wrote to the Danbury Baptist Association in 1802. : "Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof ' thus building a wall of separation between Church and State."
So the proper interpretation of the constitution in our case as it relates to Summers is this: Summers et. al. are firmly within their rights under the constitution to run for elected office. Summers et. al. are allowed to carry in their hearts and mind the tenants and beliefs of their chosen religion. Summers et. al. have the right to bring policy forward that reflects their personal religious background and faith. That policy will be advanced through the council procedures and then voted Yea or Nay.
What Summers et. al. may not do is advance policy that restricts other citizens rights to practice the religion of their choice.

The only ones it matters to are a mere handful of people who are not Summers supporters anyway. The rest of Vallejo's voters are not nearly as Gay sympathetic as you may hope. Sxchivley claiming credit for what everyone knows she is not responsible for, Meissner denying her involvement with VIB and Meitzenheimer's lies and deceit will not get any of them elected. The voters are smarter, and more diverse and want more than VIB is capable of. Recent revelations bring light on the
separation of Church and State. Wisdom
that our founding Fathers so wisely included in the formative and final documents that guide our Democrasey to this day. It has stood the test of time
for hundreds of years . So why is it not repeated in Our City Charter ? . Assumptions carry no weight , Laws do !
The City Charter should include the insertion of the original text for the benefit and protection of all . When a
City in the United States is being besieged by a fringe and divisional religious group, bent on and published to desire to control the 7 pillars of society , which includes almost every formal organization and Governmental
entity , including private enterprise
The citizens need a DEFENCE AGAINST this attack .. Where else to go but the Constitution .. For Decades Churches have been TAX exempt in Vallejo with over 400 meeting this exemption . Some do the most incredible things and are beacons of goodness and charity , in fact major contributors to this community , from feeding People to providing wholesome enrichment to our youth as well as community and fellowship to our many Seniours and those disadvantaged , even hosting AA meetings on site ... They stand as a tall pillar of our Community .. Some of them have been doing these great things for over 100 years .. So just where doe's this Silvoso / Summers 4th
testament come to play ? . Do they plan to control the wholesale spirituality of Vallejo with their 7 pillars doctrine or are they an organized crime version of
Regimes we have seen in the past ?. Scientology and other cults like the one Jim Jones created started this way ..Only
When the real Christians stand up then can we be able to rid our fair City
of this scourge . Local elections are not about selecting a Pastor or Minister
nor a Priest rather they are about selecting representative Councillors to guide our local Government Not to proselytize to the masses .. The Council Dias is not a pulpit , it is supposed to be a part of the forum , the backbone of a functional democratic Government ...
Hey Hate Slate
|September.19.2013
What a crock of crap, Summers. You peddle a resolution commemorating Martin Luther King, Jr. and the March on Washington to the city council two weeks after they'd already commemorated it, then when schooled about conveniently leaving the LGBT community out of your proclamation for equality by VM Gomes, you bring it to the school board? Your arrogance is appalling and your ignorance is gross.
And what's equally gross is the Hate Slate that sits silently alongside this misoginistic, paternalistic, homophobic a$$wipe who believes its ok to execute gay people for being gay. Shame, shame, shame.
You want to stand with Summers fellow Hate Slaters (Malgapo, Verder-Aliga and Dew)? Verder-Aliga, you stand by his side as he reads his "resolution" like a little brainless doll? Your silence makes you all equally repugnant. In light of your "late to the party" celebration of MLK, Jr. and the March on Washungton, here are some quotes of his you all need to consider:
"He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it."
"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."
"To ignore evil is to become an accomplice to it."
"Evil only succeeds when good people do nothing."
"Not only will we have to repent for the sins of bad people; but we also will have to repent for the appalling silence of good people."
And Mr. Summers, remember this one: "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."
I'm just undone by the ignorance of these people. Just what Vallejo doesn't need.

Tell Summers and Brown to ditch Silvoso, they are the ones who brought him to Vallejo, twice! In 2009, they had a prayer session in City Hall. In 2012 they held his group's "North American Conference". It was at that conference that they premiered his DVD with Silvoso and started selling it to raise money. That money funds his crazy agenda, along with the money they take with them everytime they leave town. There is video of them on the waterfront passing the hat and fleecing the flock.

P.S.
The ediface is crumbling.
"What climate change? Fewer people than EVER believe the world is really warming up"
I think it's important to realize that Michael Brown and his bus company are firmly connected to the Summers candidacy. Now many of you may not know but the Brown family is a fine old Vallejo family. Mr. Brown senior was the one who, upon returning from service in WWII started the original bus company. Mr. Brown senior was a good man and hard working. He raised a good family and they are thriving here in Vallejo to this day.
I'm going to reconsider the Summers candidacy carefully. I don't like much of the propaganda associated with the candidate; endorsements from Uganda? You must be kidding me. The problem is here in Vallejo we have only bad choices. Which choice is the least bad will be what I try and determine. The challenge with Summers is getting to know how his thought process works and getting to know what the man is really all about. The campaign has wrapped Mr. Summers up in a big blanket of propaganda with B- video productions.
Will the real Mr. Summers please stand up.
P.S. Ditch that Silviso character, he's not helping.

Religion has always been designed to extract money and power from the poor and dispossessed. More genocide has been implemented behind the sign of the cross than any other type. When Emperor Constantine changed the Roman Empire into the Holy Roman Empire, his Roman legions trampled other nations into oblivion led into battle by a cross. Think Jesus might be horrified? Emperor Constantine went further and asked a select group of male bishops to convene at Nicene to take all the disparate stories about Jesus and edit them into what we know now as the bible. Those bishops made sure not to include anything that might undermine the notion that God has special emissaries here on earth...kings, emperors, and religious leaders...that are authorized to tell the poor what to do. (put all your money in the basket, make lots of babies and follow orders without question)
So maybe that is why the VHA is working so hard to bring all the poor, dispossessed and criminals to Vallejo so that the Dominionists can save them and grow their flocks. Is that why Summers supported the Parolee Center in Vallejo to get money from the State to convert parolees to Dominisionsim? How many people now working for the City are Dominionists? Is lying to pretend to support the Constitution (theocracy constitutes the overthrow of the secular government)while working for the City?

Vallejo's political washing machine has been working overtime these days .
A PAC has been washing many loads , first is the fill cycle (funding of campaigns)
Followed by the agitation cycle (divisive, divisional and miss representative agendas with limited disclosure and dubious motives)
Then comes the rinse cycle the cleansing
and anointment , purification of both imagery and perception , projecting a warm and fuzzy vision/feel good aura so important for divisive Candidates .
Now the spin cycle starts up, rhetorical
non defined diatribe replete with buzz words and anecdotes designed to soothe
Voters into a malleable state . This is the glad handing and baby kissing period
buttons , bumper stickers , bunting and
banners . Coached by paid Campaign managers, now is the time to earn your money! and discredit the opposition, while capitalizing on any potential free press . All the while insisting on being a "not bought" politician only interested in whats best for God and Country . A chicken in every pot and a new era of enlightenment and entitlement
for those who proscribe and provide a modest donation to this Campagin of ***
Some might never get their wash clean
no pre treatment , stain remover , detergent or multiple washes can remove the soil of prejudice , bigotry , hate
and division proselytized in the past .

Not surprised by this development. This is all part of the warning to perceptive people about the "White Horse" riding (Revelation 6:1-2). False representation of Christianity. You all need to get up-to-speed on what is to come soon.

This Silvoso Brood makes the H Martin Foundation look like a bunch of Brownie Scouts . Have they written their own Bible or is it a manifesto to serve their agenda ? . Jesus threw the money lenders out of the Temple, these Dominionists want to control the temple and the money lenders and numerous other
"pillars of society" . A guy named Adolf
came up with a similar plan, We know how that worked out .

who is anthony summers? where does he come from? why is he running? where does his money come from? the napa/solano central labor council endorsed summers. why? the solano democratic central committee endorsed him. why? what is it in summers resume that labor and the dems find so compelling? no one has answered these questions. all i hear from summers supporters (jump start vallejo, labor and the dems) is empty rhetoric. will the voters be duped by the glossy flyers, the exploitation of our fears, the propaganda and the meaningless endorsements? i hope that the voters will educate themselves about the candidates, the real people behind the election cycle fluff.
Cruel Summers
|September.19.2013
Last night, at the VCUSD School Board meeting, Tony Summers, when speaking about the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, talked about Martin Luther King, and how he was for the harmony and working together of Protestants and Catholics, Jews and Muslims, and he had the audacity to mention that MLK would have been a supporter of "Even the LGBT".
Pastor Summers:
Martin Luther King WAS a supporter of LGBT rights, along with his right hand man, Bayard Rustin, the man who organized the entire march. Since you went before the City Council, not even knowing that they had recently presented such a proclamation, you offered your own, which neglected to mention anything about LGBT rights or Rustin, who also received the Presidential Medal of Honor at the same time for his efforts. Obama called him "a man who stood uniquely at the intersection of many of the battles for equal rights".
Coretta Scott King was also a supporter of equal rights including marriage rights. If you really don't even know your own history, and can't keep up with the goings on at City Hall, how does one expect you to lead this city?
The answer is, we don't. You're not qualified.

A good bet the Catholic leaders from Vallejo Catholic churches would have been there. You know, the churches that Vallejo Council Fil-Am candidates like Verder-Aliga, Malgapo and Mapalo, would be attending. How about asking them what they think about the good Archbishop's view on LGBTQ.

The United States is a secular democracy NOT a theocracy. That is exactly what the Domininionists propose. Theocracies replace the rule of laws developed through a long arduous process by humans for their own communities with laws the Dominionists claim God himself (always male) confides to a few anointed other males who then bully their flocks for donations. Those laws are not to be questioned and are often pretty stupid. That biblical reference to being gay as an "abomination" also lists wearing clothes made of two different fibers as a similar "abomination". But you don't hear those Dominionists screaming about cotton/lycra blends, do you? Theocracies have been mostly replaced by more human governmental forms. The few that remain in Africa or places like Iraq look pretty awful. So we are going to grow one of those at home...in America. That speaks volumes about the intellectual capacity of those that will actually support a Domininionist for Vallejo City Council and the PSU slate.

@rocketman, who among the LGBT community has advocated for the "healing" of heterosexuals and/or homophobes? who among the LGBT community has supported the death penalty for heteros or homophobes? no one.
all my adult life people representing various schools of religious thought have knocked on my door and left their tracts on my porch, attempting to convince me that if i only adopted their religious "lifestyle" everything would be great. i have NEVER had a representative of the LGBT community come to my door to proselytise for their "lifestyle", whatever that is. so, who's trying to force their choice of lifestyle on society? the religious fanatics like tony summers, that's who.
and for all you women out there who believe that a woman should be the one who determines what goes on in her own body, tony summers thinks that he should decide that. he believes that he and his church should be in control of a womans body, not the woman.
in fact, summers and his church think that they should control EVERYTHING, vallejo included. it's all about control. are you willing to give control to a religious fanatic?

"It should be pointed out that nearly everything ascribed to Summers in this article can be said of the writer and to LGBT activists and organizations, among whom and which HATE is clearly a driving motivation--HATE of anyone who disagrees with the LGBT agenda."
UNTRUE - Only the most homophobic would try to blame the victim and pretend that the indignant outrage of those trying to limit civil rights of gays is equal to HATE.
"The viciousness of these kinds of commentaries by proponents of the LGBT agenda is unique across the American culture. It is, of course, planned & coordinated.
UNTRUE - blithely describing the truth is tantamount to viciousness only if you believe that what is being shown is untrue. There is ample evidence to the contrary. As to being coordinated, friends tend to support their other friends, nothing more.
"Having said that, this commentary on connections with social & political movements in Africa is most interesting indeed, and is something that should be attended to."
So, the Ugandan questions is disturbing, but what these same people are doing in Thailand, Philippines, South America, and the US are not? How can that be if it is the same program? They just have been more successful in Uganda.

Marc, thank you for this report, even though it is very disturbing.
I am disappointed that Summers has not met with you prior. As someone running for City Council, he needs to explain himself relative to homophobic evangelism.
The tenets of this Dominionist church are antithetical to religious freedom and diversity, not to mention human decency. Demonizing gays, and anyone outside their church is not Christian. It is plain old bigotry.

The fact that the local Democratic committee endorsed Summers is ludicrous and sad. The Dems have their issues with close ties to unions and their money for support and advancement of the unions' issues, just as the Rep. have their close ties to businesses whether it be in the insurance, financial, banking or corporate worlds and their issues and money. One of the significant differences between the 2 parties is their platforms on equality, fairness, openness. Summers is a slap across the face of those Dem party principles. Where is the state leadership of this party on these issues? Our local Dem committee endorses an anti choice, bigoted, anti-gay candidate, contrary to the party's platform, and another (Dew) who was not a registered Democrat (until what... 1 day before the interviews?)
Sad. I

Summers? No thank you. We have a negative perception as a city on various levels - BK, structural deficits, high percentage of low/low income affordable housing and high unemployment, too few businesses that offer full time, living wages, excessive police shootings. And now, a candidate who advances hateful, bigoted and discriminatory beliefs, with one of the core beliefs being that the Dominions should take over our government?
No thank you.

Just when it seemed like Vallejo was maturing from a governance perspective, in comes (or returns) ridiculism.
There is absolutely no place in local politics for this type of hurtful nonsense under the rubric of religion.
Wanna be a prophet? Go to the birthplace of prophetism- the Middle East and see how that works for you.
Unfortunately, Vallejo is a fertile ground for this anti-intellectual gibberish under the catchy slate banner of Jump Start.
