Don't miss the madness in downtown Vallejo on Saturday December 7. The Mad Hatter Holiday festivities will begin at 2 PM and the parade kicks off at 4:30 in downtown Vallejo @ Unity Plaza in conjunction with the Coal Shed Artists event at the Coal Shed Artist Studios in building 153 @ 4th St. on Mare Island.

12/6/13 -- Yesterday, a small group of concerned activists, labor leaders and citizens gathered in front of McDonalds Restaurant at 5200 Sonoma Blvd. in Vallejo to protest the un-livable wages and lack of benefits workers at the franchise receive.

Apparently, McDonalds took the protest, part of a larger regional movement seriously. The dining area was kept closed while the (peaceful) protest took place and several security guards were stationed to keep any threat at bay. What a dangerous looking group! I'd be scared!
