When one first visits Vallejo these are some of the the big things that stand out.
I know the City has filed for Bankruptcy but does that mean that we have to let everything go to
RUST??
The Vallejo Rotary Club, Executive Lions Club, North Star Lions, Soroptimitst of Vallejo, Suburban Kiwanis, Vallejo Host Lions, Vallejo Kiwanis, Vallejo Yacht Club, Greater Vallejo Lioness Club have their names on a bronze plaque at the Marina along with other founding clubs & organizations.
The area around the Waterfront Park is in need of repair and maintenance. Will these founding organizations pitch in?
I am looking for assistance on a beautification project to get the City of Vallejo and the waterfront looking better. I am paying attention to the fact that our trash bins need repair, Painting etc…, many need major repairs. The city does not have the funds to get this project done. Some merchants are willing to help. I have been able to get large private sponsors to contribute on other projects I have worked on in the past but they will want something out of it, such as a logos or some type of advertising. We can use help from the organizations on the plaque or individuals.
The light poles at the Marina also need maintenance. The bases are rusting because they are exposed to the elements. The metal needs sandblasting, priming and then painting. This a safety hazard because when the rust gets deep enough they may topple and could fall on someone. If you visit the Marina, you will see birds in the park like pigeons, seagulls, and others. Grain companies might be able to supply us with a coin operated pole feeder, you know the ones where you put a quarter in and get a handful of feed.
