There is a time to complain...and a time to act. We at VIB have decided to do what we can to take action on some of the BLIGHT issues facing our city.

Our team has already begun to seek out, research and photograph blighted properties and bring them to the attention of Vallejo Code Enforcement. This will likely help generate fines/revenue. We will also feature the blighted property on VIB and publish the owner's name when appropriate. The owner will also be notified by VIB and asked to respond and address the issues regarding their property.

There is a possibility that this property was just sold. There are numerous fines due as well as litter, fire hazards, sanitation issues and a homeless encampment. The homeless encampment is an important issue. We do not wish to vilify the homeless in any way. The unsafe and unsanitary condition found on this property are the issues we seek to address with Blight Busters. Here's the video. Expect periodic updates on this property and others.
