1/20/14 -- Had the opportunity to sit down with Vallejo's Chief of Police this past Thursday and have a discussion about a number of issues that impact the PD and citizens of Vallejo.
Topics range from staffing and hiring new officers (the 10,000 pound gorilla in the room) to cannabis collectives, problem motels and new technology being used on the force.

Here is a document supplied by the chief which shows the decrease in the number of arrests and parking citations issued by the PD from 2003 to 2012. A trend that is unsurprisingly consistent with the decline in staffing. LINK
