Casa de Vallejo Seniors Receive Assistance
By Marc Garman August 19, 2008 Text and Video
Displaced seniors from Casa de Vallejo gathered at the Florence Douglas Senior Center on Amador Street yesterday. They were given lunch, clothing, a credit card and a pair of shoes by the Red Cross. According to Joseph Robinson, the Care and Shelter Coordinator for Solano County there is some difficulty finding hotel space in Vallejo for all the seniors through the weekend. While the Red Cross and Logan Property Management (the company that manages the facility) have recieved high marks from those present, a long term housing solution for the seniors is still not clear.
