Lumber Storage Shed Destroyed

A fire at Foster Lumber Yard on Sonoma Blvd. began shortly before 6PM.  According to Fire Chief Russ Sherman, the fire appears to have started with a red Honda Civic in the parking lot of Buttercup Restaurant, directly adjacent to the lumber yard. The flames quickly spread to the storage shed. At this time there are no reported injuries. There was no damage to the restaurant and little or no damage to the showroom or the majority of the lumber yard.  The storage shed--a structure approximately 75 feet long and 15 feet wide was completely destroyed.  Fire crews responded from Vallejo, Benicia and American Canyon.
