No on Wilson if she hasn't accomplished anything in 4 years.

No on Waterman. She is a wolf in sheepskin clothing, and the Times Herald loves her. Anybody the TH supports, I question.

Waterman has turned into an attention getting union plaything. I know she seems to be the "darling" of the week, but I don't trust her or her motives. Her smooth voice doesn't lull me into voting for her. No on Waterman.

Every other incumbant that had anything to do with the Vallejo School District 2004 bankruptcy has left office without running again. Ms Wilson continues to deny her responsibility in the financial meltdown by running over and over again. I remember back 1999 when she was a critic of then Superintendent Goldstone, she used that position and her job with the IRS to taught her financial skills.

In 2001 after Goldstone's firing she ran for office swearing she could pick a successor and new leadership that would be more accountable and practice sound financial controls. After her and the other
long gone Board members hired Gladys Philips-Evans, and Frank Remkowicz their financial failure is a monument that endures on and is exacerbated by her refusal to step down.

t Hazel and Waterman are aligned with the same endorsements from the likes of Mike Wilson, Osby, and Hannigan. Waterman insists that closures are "great opportunities." No, Waterman, it is a tragedy and a shame. And most likely, the class size will increase to what? 35? So stop sugarcoating the closures of any schools. No to Wilson and Waterman. And Wilson if you are so compassionate, then renege your salary as a school board member and save the taxpayers 28k a year.

I mean, come on!

I notice that Hazel changes her behavior come election day.

BUT really, come on Hazel?! Why would you blame teachers for poor attendance recording when administration doesn't give enough support to teachers, to accurately record attendance? Also why would you be rude, sarcastic and condescending to a community member who was speaking the truth of an issue at a school board meeting?

Hazel and State Trustee Damelio are best friends! Damelio is just collecting a $100,000 paycheck from Vallejo tax payers and bringing it home to San Mateo. Why is he working twice a week in Vallejo? Where's the
common sense here?

Actually I thought it was a pretty good interview. Hazel is well educated regarding the problems with the district.
